1. Maintain a 3-Inch Gap from Outer Walls

During heavy Delhi rainfalls, external brick walls absorb groundwater and transfer dampness indoors. Placing solid Sheesham wardrobes or beds directly flush against damp outer walls traps moisture behind the furniture.

2. Seal Pores with Natural Beeswax Polish

• Wipe the wood surface clean with a dry lint-free cloth.

• Allow it to dry for 20 minutes, then buff lightly with a clean cotton rag for a brilliant luster.

3. Avoid Water and Wet Mops

Never use dripping wet clothes or harsh liquid floor detergents near wooden table legs or bed bases. Water standing at the base of wooden legs can seep into unsealed bottom end-grains, causing swelling over time.

Instead, use a soft microfiber dust cloth for daily cleaning. For stubborn marks, use a barely-damp cloth and immediately wipe the area completely dry.

4. Keep Camphor & Silica Gel in Wardrobe Drawers

High moisture inside closed wooden drawers or shoe cabinets can lead to musty odors.

Place 2–3 small sachets of silica gel or natural camphor balls inside Sheesham storage beds and wardrobes. Silica gel actively absorbs trapped moisture, keeping clothes and linen fresh and dry throughout August.

5. Smooth Out Sticking Drawers with Candle Wax

If high humidity causes wooden drawers or sliding doors to expand slightly and rub against tracks, do not force them open.
